Repsol Honda's Marc Marquez anticipates an 'interesting' weekend in Qatar the MotoGP World Championship begins his quest to win a third straight premier class title.

Marquez kicked off his stunning 10-race winning streak at the Losail International Circuit last year and heads into the season opener at 100 per cent fitness in contrast to last year, when the Honda star was recovering from a broken leg following a dirt bike crash during winter training.

"I can't wait for the season to begin. It's been a long winter and then testing was cut short in Qatar last week due to rain, which was very strange, but I'm confident going into this first race," said Marquez.

"This circuit isn't one of my favourites but it's still fun to ride and it marks the beginning of the championship which is great. Let's see how the conditions are after all the rain last week.

"As usual it will take a few sessions of the different classes on track to clear the racing line and then we will see how the grip level is," he added.

"There are a lot of fast riders on fast bikes - as we saw during testing - so this first race weekend will be interesting for sure."

Realist: This is fan heaven indeed. I have a dual position: I hope Marquez pulls off the triple, but I also would love to see Rossi go for a 10th title. Either way, if either of those pan out, it will be insanity![\blockquote]

yeah, seeing the same people win and win over and over again, it's so great. [\blockquote]

I'm not too concerned if it's the same people winning or not so long as they put on a good fight/show.
There are a few quality up and coming riders and I expect to see them sneak on to the podium a few times this season and even more so in the not too distant future.
Will you still be saying the same thing when they are winning consistently?
