World champion Marc Marquez led the way during a fog delayed MotoGP warm-up at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.

The Repsol Honda star finished 0.332s ahead of fellow RC213V rider Cal Crutchlow, although the damp conditions meant Marquez was almost four-seconds behind his record pole time.

The session marked the third time this weekend that Marquez and Crutchlow have filled the top two places. The Englishman is benefitting from a chassis upgrade this weekend, although a mistake in qualifying means Crutchlow will start fifth on the grid.
