Andrea Iannone may have left Pramac for the official Ducati MotoGP team, but Pramac boss Paolo Campinoti still keeps a keen eye on the young Italian.

Iannone joined the satellite Ducati squad from Moto2 in 2013, claiming five front-row starts last season to earn the factory seat alongside countryman Andrea Dovizioso. Iannone enjoyed instant success with a first MotoGP podium in Qatar and is currently third in the world championship.

"This year Andrea is not running for us, but it is as if he had never left," Campinoti said. "We are very happy to support him in his great adventure at Ducati. This is proof of our affection towards him, but third place is not enough: we expect to see him on the top step of the podium in the nearby future."

Pramac signed another young Italian, Danilo Petrucci, to take Iannone's place alongside Columbian Yonny Hernandez.

"I will be happy if we will manage to finish in the top 10 with both Hernandez with Petrucci. They are two extraordinary guys with whom I have a great relationship," Campinoti said of his new line-up.

"But I am not intrusive during weekends. The management of the team is up to Francesco Guidotti who has done an extraordinary job in creating a structure that works together and knows that every single detail is very important to achieve the ultimate target."

While Iannone and Dovizioso have Gigi Dall'Igna's impressive new GP15 at their disposal, Pramac are currently still using last year's GP14 machines. Nevertheless, Campinoti describes Dall'Igna's appointment as a pivotal moment during his time working with Ducati.

"With the arrival of Gigi Dall'Igna there was obviously an extraordinary quantum leap. He succeeded in putting all the pieces into the right place," Campinoti said of the Desmosedici project. "We believe we can contribute to the development of the factory. We are a team where young people can develop and what Andrea Iannone did is a prime example."

Pramac joined MotoGP in 2002 and, looking at the championship as a whole, Campinoti is confident the sport has a bright future.

"Our team improves year after year, managing to develop during very complex seasons. That is why I wish to thank Carmelo Ezpeleta and Dorna for the fundamental support they provided to many teams in order to overcome the crisis," he said.

"Now MotoGP is in good health, the attention from fans and media is growing at a higher pace that Formula 1, and the changes to the regulations to be introduced from next season will compound growth further."

Next season will see a single ECU system become compulsory in MotoGP.
