Marc Marquez rode to his third pole position of the season as he comfortably outpaced Andrea Dovizioso in Saturday afternoon's MotoGP Qualifying shootout at Le Mans.

Track conditions continued to improve after a lunchtime shower soaked the track. Marquez's final time was just 0.2s slower than his outright circuit record from a year ago.

The Spaniard believes he has a set-up that, although not perfect, will allow him to challenge for the top honours on Sunday.
