An early fall at Le Mans scuppered any chance of a strong race result, but Dani Pedrosa remounted to at least put a full MotoGP race distance on his healing arm.

The Repsol Honda star insists his comeback condition was better than expected and is raising his expectations for this weekend's Mugello round.

"Even though we didn't get a great race result, the outcome from the weekend in Le Mans was positive," declared Pedrosa, who had qualified eighth on the grid. "The arm was better than I expected and now we head to Italy - after a further two weeks of recovery - looking to make another step.
