Retired world champion Casey Stoner demonstrated Honda's new RC213V-S road bike in front of the MotoGP fans at Catalunya on Sunday.

The RC213V-S is closely based on the RC213V grand prix prototype, which Stoner took to world championship glory in 2011, before further titles in the hands of Marc Marquez.

The bike, which will cost 188,000 Euros, was officially launched in the Catalunya paddock on Thursday. Honda expects to make around 200 of the machines.

Stoner, who retired from MotoGP at the end of 2012, will make his two-wheel racing comeback at this year's Suzuka 8 Hours and is also due to take part in at least one more Honda MotoGP test this year.

The Australian caused a stir when he offered to replace the injured Dani Pedrosa earlier this season, but insists he has no plans to return to MotoGP.
