Ajo Motorsport's Johann Zarco managed to make the most of the weather-hit post-race test at Catalunya on Tuesday.

Zarco, who enhanced his lead in the Moto2 World Championship with a brilliant victory at the Spanish circuit on Sunday, focused on the set-up of his Kalex and tested a new Dunlop tyre compound as he lapped close to his pace in the race.

"I'm very happy with how this day of testing went at Barcelona, after the victory last Sunday," Zarco said.

"The rain broke up the day a little, but we have drawn some very positive conclusions. In addition, although we tested different set-ups, we were able to ride almost as fast as in the race and the truth is that I felt more relaxed on the bike than before.

"We were also able to try one of the new compounds brought here by Dunlop, and the feeling with that was very good right from the beginning, although we were unable to put in many laps," he added.

"I am already looking forward to the next GP and making further progress in the Moto2 World Championship."
