Despite boasting the biggest crowd of the 2014 season, the Czech Republic MotoGP round is again in doubt.

A message on the Brno circuit website confirmed: "With an immediate effect, Automotodrom Brno suspends the sale of tickets for the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic 2015 due to insufficient funding for the event. The final decision on the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic 2015 will be published on 29 June. In case of cancellation of the event, all paid tickets will be refunded."

That is despite a joint statement issued during last year's Czech event - which had also been in jeopardy due to funding fears - in which Dorna, the local government and Brno circuit spoke confidently of securing the 2015 round.
