Repsol Honda's Marc Marquez remained on top in FP2 as Bradley Smith slotted into a superb second place on the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 at the Sachsenring.

The Honda riders briefly exchanged places at the top with Yamaha duo Lorenzo and Rossi inside the top four after the opening 15 minutes, with Smith next on the satellite M1 ahead of Danilo Petrucci on the Pramac Ducati and Scott Redding (EG 0,0 Marc VDS Honda).
