JiR team principal Gianluca Montiron believes private testing is making the difference at the front of the Moto2 field, and welcomes a new rule for 2016.

Having run a TSR-chassis from 2010-2014, Montiron's team has switched to the dominant Kalex design for lone rider Randy Krummenacher this season, claiming a best race finish of twelfth so far.

"Our rider has made improvements this year and scored points and he has been able to reduce the gap from the leader. I'm confident he will do another step in the second part of the championship," Montiron said.
