Moto3: Kent leads British quartet for Silverstone

"There is no reason why I can't go to Silverstone and win" - Danny Kent.
Four home riders will be taking part in the British Moto3 round at Silverstone from August 27-30.

In addition to world championship leader Danny Kent and fellow regular John McPhee, British interest will be boosted by wild-card appearances by Taz Taylor and Luke Hedger.

2012 Motostar British Champion Hedger will race a KTM for the FPW Racing Team, while Taylor is the current British Motostar Championship leader with six wins on his RS Racing KTM.

While the pair soak up the excitement of their grand prix debuts, Kent will be aiming for another victory as he seeks to become the UK's first grand prix world champion since Barry Sheene in 1977.

“I'm really looking forward to getting to Silverstone,” said Kent. “I'm sure I can have a great weekend in front of my home crowd.”

He continued: “It will feel amazing going into the British Grand Prix leading the World Championship. And I know I will have extra motivation and pressure to deliver a great result in front of my home crowd.

“Silverstone will suit me and my Leopard Honda and I'm sure that there is no reason why I can't go to Silverstone and win.”

Silverstone has some places remaining in the dedicated Danny Kent grandstand at Village A.
