Jorge Lorenzo claimed his 38th MotoGP victory last time out at Brno, putting him level with former rival and fellow world champion Casey Stoner.

Stoner spent seven seasons in MotoGP, with Lorenzo now in his eighth year.

Only three riders in the 67-year history of motorcycle grand prix racing have achieved more premier-class victories than Lorenzo and Stoner:
