Injury-hit Andrea Iannone feels he achieved the best result possible in free practice on Friday at Aragon after ending the day ninth fastest.
The Ducati rider, who sustained a shoulder injury in training, finished one tenth behind team-mate Andrea Dovizioso after lapping in 1m 48.615s on the GP15.
Iannone rode without painkillers in FP1 and FP2 but admitted he was suffering physically and the Italian may seek relief on Saturday ahead of qualifying.
“I am not very pleased with my time, but in the end, considering also my physical condition, I think I got the best result possible today,” said Iannone.
“I can't deny that my shoulder hurts a lot, but I have already found myself having to manage this sort of situation this year and I am also aiming to do my best here as well.
“I didn't take any pain-killers today; tomorrow we will see how I feel and if necessary I will take something, because it will be tough to get through the entire weekend like this,” he added.
“It will however be essential to improve our performance on the track, because we are a bit behind and I am not satisfied with today's time.”
