Dani Pedrosa may not have yet won a MotoGP race this year, but he did win arguably the best battle of his career against Valentino Rossi - over second place - last time at Aragon.

The Repsol Honda star now hopes to continue that form in front of Honda's home fans at Motegi.

"After the battle in Aragon with Valentino I'm feeling really motivated to go to Japan, Honda's home race," Pedrosa said. "We had a testing day on Monday after the race and then on Tuesday I stayed in Barcelona for my birthday with family and friends.

Pedrosa won at Motegi in 2011 and 2012.
