After failing to cut the gap to Open class MotoGP leader Loris Baz at Aragon, Hector Barbera has the first of four remaining chances at Motegi this weekend.

Barbera had led the Open standings until round 13 at Misano, where Baz scored a shock fourth place to vault five points clear of the Spaniard.

Both riders then finished outside the points last time at Aragon.
