MrSmart: The backflip could backfire one day. I think a wave to the crowd is sufficient. Race Direction should make riders aware of the health and safety issues involved. Let's not wait for a broken leg or neck, which could have tragic consequences. Penalties need to be imposed to stop this reckless behaviour which could escalate to double or triple backflips or God forbid, riders getting fired out of cannons, just like in the circus. There is a petition I've started on chang dot org to have this outlawed. Please sign it.
