Suzuki released the first images of its 2016 GSX-RR during at a press conference at the EICMA international motorcycle exhibition in Milan.

The new livery features minor tweaks relative to this year's version, but the real changes will be under the skin, with a seamless-shift gearbox and improved engine performance expected for next season.

Eiji Mochizuki, Suzuki's general manager of Motorcycle Operations, declared: "In MotoGP we will continue to fight for glory with Mr. Aleix Espargaro and Mr. Maverick Vinales under team manager Mr. Davide Brivio. Maverick has won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2015 and Aleix's enthusiastic riding style has also won wide applause.

Espargaro and Vinales finished eleventh and twelfth in this year's world championship, the highlight of Suzuki's comeback season being first and second places in qualifying at Catalunya.
