As speculation that Jorge Lorenzo has decided to join Ducati reaches fever pitch, some tipped the Spaniard to reveal his 2017 MotoGP plans in today's pre-event press conference at Circuit of the Americas.

They were to be left disappointed. Instead the reigning world champion declared:

"I cannot tell you any more than in Argentina... I prefer not to tell you something about this matter. When my decision is taken you will all know."

Yamaha team-mate Valentino Rossi likewise side-stepped commenting on Lorenzo's possible switch to Ducati, including a question about his 'it takes balls to move, so he will stay' quip in Qatar.

The deadline for Lorenzo to accept or decline Yamaha's contract offer is thought to be the first European round, next time out at Jerez.

Wonder if this latest 'clever game' by Valentino Bossi will backfire? GOAD your team mate to move because you still don't like a competitive team mate.

So Lorenzo to Ducati... and MM to Yamahaha.

(last attempt at trying to post on this thread!)

Done deal...He sounds as if he left already.
