MotoGP moves back to Europe with the Spanish MotoGP at Jerez which will be greeted with the headline news of Jorge Lorenzo's move from Yamaha to Ducati for 2017.

Lorenzo claimed a clean sweep of pole position, fastest lap and race win last year at Jerez, a track which bears his name at the final corner, and he will be keen to start his long farewell with Yamaha with victory on home turf.

I read that if Vinales gets on the podium there is a clause in his contract that means he gets an automatic extension so that possibly could rule out Yamaha for 2017 - unless it is announced he will join on Thursday. Jarvis also said that he wouldn't want to put Rins in the factory team straight away as it will be a lot of pressure so the likely favourite is P Espargaro because of his Yamaha contract but I don't feel that will happen
