MotoGP Catalunya: Lorenzo: 'Barcelona is so special for me'

“I'm still savouring my last win in Mugello, that one was so special because of the many ingredients that were mixed in” - Jorge Lorenzo.
A thrilling last-gasp Mugello victory means MotoGP champion Jorge Lorenzo takes a ten-point lead over Marc Marquez into their home Catalunya round.

Lorenzo, who has won three of the opening six races, proved his fighting spirit during a duel with Marquez, which went in the Yamaha rider's favour by just 0.019s.

“Here we are, at my home race. Barcelona is so special for me. It's a track I love and most of my people are coming to this grand prix. I lived here for a long time and here I feel at home,” he said.

“I'm still savouring my last win in Mugello, that one was so special because of the many ingredients that were mixed in. It was an important race for the championship. Now in Montmeló we need to add more points obviously, but we will try to show our potential and try to fight again for the victory.”

“We are moving from Vale's and the team's home race to another special event, as it will be Jorge's home Grand Prix this weekend,” added team director Massimo Meregalli. “He is approaching Montmeló with a lot of confidence, having won two consecutive races at the last rounds.”

Lorenzo has won four of the last six MotoGP races in Catalunya, including last season's event, when he took a narrow victory over Rossi.

justPeople: Yeah when he wins it's because he is great. When he lost it's because of anything but himself. Does he even knows that his win is mostly because Vale's engine blew up?
Do you even read post-race interviews?
