MotoGP Catalunya: Rossi to the fore on Sunday morning

Valentino Rossi posts the fastest time of Sunday morning, suggesting he has found a cure for his problems in the new final sector.
Valentino Rossi posted the fastest time on Sunday morning to top the warm-up session that precedes the Grand Prix of Barcelona in Montmeló.

The Italian spoke of his concerns regarding his speed on Saturday, after he qualified fifth. Yet both he and team-mate Jorge Lorenzo showed notable improvements on race day, with the Spaniard ending the session fourth.

Pole sitter Marc Marquez was the second fastest rider, with Ducati's Andrea Iannone third. Both Pol and Aleix Espargaro followed Lorenzo in fourth with Scott Redding continuing his good form in seventh.

Fourth fastest in qualifying, Hector Barbera was eighth, ahead of Bradley Smith and Yonny Hernandez. Factory Ducati man Andrea Dovizioso was a disconcerting eleventh with Maverick Viñales a disappointing twelfth.
