Finland set to join MotoGP calendar in 2018

Finland set to join the MotoGP calendar from 2018.
MotoGP commercial rights holder Dorna Sports has reached an agreement for Finland to join the schedule in 2018.

It would be the first time that motorcycle grand prix has visited the country since 1982.

The new KymiRing track in Iitti is currently under construction, with the FIM and Dorna working to ensure the circuit is homologated in time for the 2018 season.

Austria is returning to the (18-round) MotoGP calendar this year, while Indonesia's return looks set to be delayed from 2017 to 2018. Thailand is also in contention to host MotoGP in the near future.
