KTM's new MotoGP machine will complete demonstration laps on race day at its home Austrian Grand Prix.

Following a Saturday press conference, hosted by Group CEO Stefan Pierer, the general public will get their first look at the RC16 in action when test riders Mika Kallio and Alex Hofmann take to the track at 13:15pm on Sunday, August 14.

Kallio is then due to give the machine its race debut as a wild-card at November's Valencia season finale, before handing over to 2017 racers Bradley Smith and Pol Espargaro.

With Smith and Espargaro currently under contract to Tech 3 and Yamaha respectively, they will not play a formal part in Saturday's press conference - where KTM Motorsports Director Pit Beirer and Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta will join Pierer to officially launch the project.

Kallio, Mike Leitner (KTM Vice President Onroad) and Sebastian Risse (Technical Director Onroad) will also be present to unveil the bike and answer any questions.

Kallio and the RC16 were within two-seconds of the fastest lap time during a recent private test at the Red Bull Ring, attended by most of the present MotoGP teams.
