Ajo fined for Austria test

'Race Direction was not informed prior to the proposed test'
The title-leading Ajo Moto2 and Moto3 team has been fined for holding a test session in Austria without informing Race Direction.

A statement from the FIM MotoGP Stewards Panel can be seen below:

'Facts
On 26 and 27 July, 2016 you allowed Moto3 rider B. Binder #41, Moto3 rider B. Bendsnyder and Moto2 rider J. Zarco #5 participate in a test at the Red Bull Ring Spielberg Circuit. This test was within the allowed maximum total of 10 days per rider during the season, however, Race Direction was not informed prior to the proposed test.

'Reasons
This contravenes Article 1.15.1.2 of the FIM World Championship Grand Prix Regulations Practice and Testing Restrictions, Moto2 and Moto3 Classes (e) “Test dates and riders participating must be informed to Race Direction prior to the proposed test, which may not be within 14 days before a GP event held at that circuit.”

'Decision & Sanction
For the above reason the MotoGP Stewards Panel has decided to impose on you a fine of €300.'
