Sky VR46 has confirmed a permanent split with Romano Fenati and that Lorenzo Dalla Porta will take over his KTM Moto3 seat from Silverstone.
Fenati, third in the world championship, was sensationally suspended on the eve of last weekend's Austrian race for repeated, but undisclosed, misdemeanors - thought to involve heated arguments with team members.
VR46 owner and mentor Valentino Rossi then all but confirmed Fenati's VR46 career was over when he spoke of 'giving up' on his countryman
Fenati had been due to move up to Moto2 with VR46 next season.
Dalla Porta will now ride alongside Andrea Migno and Nicolò Bulega for the final seven events of this year, having already signed to be a full-time Mahindra Aspar rider next season.
There will be no replacement for Fenati at this weekend's Brno round.
The #5's future plans are unknown but, despite the sacking, his proven race-winning form means he should receive offers from other grand prix teams.
