the Grand Prix Commission has announced that from next season Moto3 engines and gearboxes will not be sold to teams, but instead 'provided under a rental agreement with ownership retained by the manufacturer'.

Each Moto3 manufacturer must also supply, if requested, machines and spare parts for up to 14 riders. However, they must also supply engines and spare parts to a minimum of six riders as a condition of being approved for the class.

Meanwhile, testing in the period between the last Grand Prix and the end of November will no longer count towards the permitted maximum number of days available to each rider in the Moto2 and Moto3 classes.
