San Marino: Marquez fastest before falling in warm-up

Marc Marquez continues his all-action approach in MotoGP warm-up by posting the fastest time then falling at turn one moments later.
Marc Marquez showed the perils of lapping Misano at a dizzying pace by tipping off at the first corner in morning warm-up, moments after posting the fastest time of the session.

The Spaniard ended the 15 minutes in first thanks to a lap time of 1m 33.068s, 0.070s faster than home hero Valentino Rossi.

Surprise package Michele Pirro was third, a quarter of a second in arrears of Marquez, a place ahead of team-mate for the weekend Andrea Dovizioso.

Pole sitter Jorge Lorenzo was fifth fastest, with Tech 3 Yamaha's Pol Espargaro sixth. Maverick Viñales was seventh in a tightly packed session, the Suzuki man finishing just 0.35s off the fastest time.

Aleix Espargaro (eighth), Cal Crutchlow (ninth) and Hector Barbera (tenth) completed the top ten, with Scott Redding showing considerable signs of improvement in eleventh.

A notable absentee was Jack Miller, who has decided not to race due to the hand injuries sustained in morning warm-up in Austria.

a typical race day for MM. no surprises with the WUP crash. checks out the limit and uses it during the race. a crude method, it works but at a high cost approach... cost wise.

I doubt that's a pre-midated strategy. To work really well then you should do crash at least a few hundred times to test each single corner entry and exit.
