MotoGP Japan: Jorge Lorenzo fit for qualifying

Jorge Lorenzo back for final practice at qualifying at Japanese MotoGP.
Jorge Lorenzo has been given the green light to return to MotoGP action this afternoon at Motegi.

The reigning world champion was flown to hospital for a cranial CT scan plus X-rays on his leg, heel and hand after a huge highside on Saturday morning.

The Movistar Yamaha rider, currently 14 points behind team-mate Valentino Rossi in the fight for second in the world championship, had been quickest on Friday.

Dani Pedrosa fractured his collarbone in a huge Friday highside, while Eugene Laverty missed Saturday morning practice following his big FP2 accident. The Aspar rider was also sent for a cranial CT scan, but has also been passed fit for the afternoon.
