MotoGP Australia: New schedule after FP2 cancellation

Revised Saturday schedule for the Australian MotoGP following the cancellation of MotoGP FP2...
A revised Saturday schedule for the Australian Grand Prix has been announced, following the cancellation of MotoGP FP2 due to torrential rain.

The worsening weather also meant Friday's second Moto2 session did not take place.

Two options - one starting at 9am and including a lunch break, the other at 10am with no break - were under consideration, but a decision now looks to have been made in favour of the earlier start time.

Saturday morning's (FP3) MotoGP session will be extended by 15-minutes, with Moto2 likewise having a longer one-hour practice...

Moto3: 9:00-9:40 Free Practice 3
MotoGP: 9:55-10:55 Free Practice 3
Moto2: 11:10-12:10 Free Practice 3
(Lunch break)
Moto3: 13:35-14:15 Qualifying
MotoGP: 14:30-15:00 Free Practice 4
MotoGP: 15:10-15:25 Qualifying 1
MotoGP: 15:35-15:50 Qualifying 2
Moto2: 16:05-16:50 Qualifying

so they lose a full practice and get an extra 15min, sucks to have such bad weather. why such a long lunch break. would it not be more beneficial to shorten that and give longer practice/qualy sessions?

It's looking like it could be the weekend for the 9th winner. If it's full wet, Petrucci is looking strong. But if it's flag to flag or dry they could arrive on Sunday not having tested the dry tyres all weekend. I could literally be anyones race, maybe even a Miller's repeat...
