MotoGP: 1949 AJS to join Marquez, RCV for lap of Valencia!

1949 world championship winning AJS to join Marc Marquez and the RC213V for a lap of Valencia on Sunday morning at the MotoGP finale.
To mark the end of the 25th anniversary of the collaboration between the FIM, Dorna, the MSMA and IRTA, reigning MotoGP champion Marc Marquez will ride his Honda RC213V alongside an AJS Porcupine E90 – the winning bike of the first 500cc World Championship in 1949 - during a lap of honour on Sunday morning at the Valencia MotoGP finale.

Sammy Miller will ride alongside Marquez. Miller is an eleven-time British Trials Champion, twice European Trials Champion, and a multiple World Championship podium finisher. The Northern Irishman now presides over one of the biggest collections of motorcycles in the world in the Sammy Miller Museum – the home of the AJS Porcupine E90.

The AJS Porcupine E90 won the first premier-class title with Leslie Graham in 1949.
