MotoGP Valencia: Bradl rejects Crutchlow criticism

"I neither stopped nor hindered him. I cannot understand his accusations in any way" – Stefan Bradl.
Stefan Bradl said he cannot understand the criticism he received from Cal Crutchlow during, and after, Qualifying 1 at the Valencia MotoGP.

Crutchlow caught Bradl and fellow Aprilia rider Alvaro Bautista on the exit of Turn 1. Both were at less than racing speed, the German looking over his shoulder before pulling to the left to allow the Englishman to pass.

But, with Bautista just ahead, Crutchlow then ran wide under braking for Turn 2.

The Honda LCR rider immediately made his anger clear to Bradl at the following corner before accusing the German of "doing 60km/h sat on the racing line".

"I am absolutely not aware of any guilt," Bradl said. "I do not understand why he is upset, I neither stopped nor hindered him. I cannot understand his accusations in any way.

"I moved to the inside and gave him enough room, but after he passed me he began fooling around [at the next corner]. Perhaps he was nervous because he had not qualified for Q2 at that stage... Sure, I was not on a fast lap because I was riding slow in the first two laps.

"I don't want to make any more comment and go to the level of Crutchlow. He always has something to complain about. He likes to invent things and argue."

Bradl will start his final MotoGP race before moving to World Superbike from 17th on the grid. Crutchlow, who returned to the track to lead the Qualifying 1 session, will start eleventh after a fall in Qualifying 2.

I would really like to see Cal get a fine for his *ss hat behavior. I mean fine, he feels Bradl got in his way. Ok so Cal sped up and stuffed him in the next corner and waved him off. Case closed. But noooo After Cal got out of the pits for his next go he set his banker and was safe, let off the gas and Bradl, following Rabat, on a lap came by. Cal tags on the back for the rest of Bradls lap and then stuffs it up the inside of Bradl in the last turn just to go straight into the pits. Its so incredibly childish!
