Austria named best MotoGP of 2016

Grand Prix Commission votes Red Bull Ring as best event of the 2016 MotoGP season.
Austria has been named the best MotoGP of the 2016 season by the Grand Prix Commission, comprised of FIM, IRTA and Dorna.

This August saw MotoGP return to both Austria and the Red Bull Ring for the first time in 19-years. The event produced a further milestone in the form of Ducati's first MotoGP victory since 2010, courtesy of Andrea Iannone.

The Grand Prix Commission vote recognised the incredible organisation, facilities and atmosphere at the event, which also saw the biggest race weekend crowd of the season at 215,850 fans.
