World Championship rivals Tetsuya Harada (#31) and series leader Daijiro Katoh (#74) dominated a thrilling final 250 qualifying session today at Donington - Harada taking pole by just over three tenths from his compatriot.

Their team-mates Marco Melandri (Aprilia) and Emilio Alzamora (Honda) completed the front row, bumping home-hero Jeremy McWilliams onto row two.

"I like this track but I've never won here, so I want to do that tomorrow," said Harada, who has scored several Donington podium finishes in both 250s and 500s.

"I think we have a good set-up but I don't think it'll be possible to run away from Katoh. Everything will come down to the last lap," said the MotoGP veteran.
