Kato online auction.

An online auction of MotoGP memorabilia, proceeds of which will benefit the family - and most specifically the children - of Daijiro Kato, can be found by typing 'DediKato' into the home page of www.ebay.it.

Kato, a 17 time grand prix winner and the 2001 250cc world champion, died from injuries sustained whilst racing in the premier MotoGP class at the 2003 Japanese Grand Prix.

A vast collection of grand prix memorabilia - much of which has been signed - is on offer, with racing boots used by Daijiro and a pair worn by Valentino Rossi on his way to victory in the 2008 Italian Grand Prix likely to be among the most sought after items.

It is also possible to look at the auction items on the official site www.dedikato.com, which features a direct link to the eBay page.
