James Toseland will face the eighth and final unknown circuit of his 2008 rookie MotoGP season, this weekend at Motegi in Japan.
"Motegi is the last track of the eight I've had to learn this year, so it will be a tough weekend," admitted the Tech 3 Yamaha rider, who has taken five sixth-place finishes from the first 14 rounds.
"I just want the weather to be consistent. I've been praying for that all year but I think there have only been two events when it has not rained over the weekend," added the Englishman.
The 27-year-old slipped to twelfth in the world championship standings after finishing out of the points in the Indianapolis rain, but is just two points behind ninth place Shinya Nakano - with Toni Elias and Loris Capirossi in between.
