125: Iannone leads at Sepang.

Andrea Iannone has taken provisional pole for the 125cc Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang by over half a second from 2007 world champion Gabor Talmacsi.

Briton Danny Webb put in an excellent showing to complete an all-Aprilia top three, with the Derbi of Pol Espargaro rounding out a Friday front row covered by exactly one second.

Sergio Gadea heads row two whilst newly crowned world champion Mike di Meglio was ninth for the Ajo Motorsport Derbi team.

Rookie Marc Marquez, who will ride for the returning factory Red Bull KTM outfit next year, was ruled out of this afternoon's session - and the remainder of the 2008 season - after his legs became trapped in the back wheel of his Repsol KTM during a morning fall.

First qualifying - Sepang:

1. Iannone (Aprilia) 2min 14.676sec
2. Talmacsi (Aprilia) +0.530sec

Danny Webb has been putting in some quick times at the end of this season after a fairly pain-ridden first half of the season. Lets hope he gets a good bike next year along with Scott Redding and see both of them on the podium. With Bradley of course.

lol, these lads need as much support as they can get - lord knows they get nothing from the mainstream UK media. Maybe that will change with MotoGP on the BBC... :p
