125: Rain confirms Iannone debut pole.

Andrea Iannone has taken his first 125cc pole position after rain at Sepang prevented any improvement's during Saturday's second qualifying session.

The Italian will thus start ahead of fellow Aprilia riders 2007 world champion Gabor Talmacsi and Briton Danny Webb, with Derbi's Pol Espargaro completing the front row.

KTM's Lorenzo Zanetti was fastest in the rain - by 1.625sec from Espargaro, with Sergio Gadea and Webb third and fourth - but will start just 20th on the grid courtesy of his dry Friday pace.

Iannone was ninth fastest in the slick conditions, with Talmacsi a cautious 22nd.

Newly crowned world champion Mike di Meglio, who will start ninth on the grid, was 14th quickest on Saturday.
