125: Simon on top as test ends.

Julian Simon gained the upper hand over new Aspar Aprilia team-mate Bradley Smith by leading the second and final of Aprilia's 125GP test at Valencia.

Smith, fastest on day one, slipped to third on day two as Simon lowered his pace to 1min 40.5sec after 69 laps, placing the former 250cc rider 0.5sec clear of nearest rival Andrea Iannone (36 laps).

Smith completed 67 laps with a best time of 1min 41.1sec, a 0.6sec improvement on his Monday best and enough to place him third, 0.9sec clear of Aspar's 125GP race winner Sergio Gadea.
