2006 MotoGP world champion Nicky Hayden has appeared in full 2009 Ducati Marlboro livery for the first time (pictured).

The American wore a temporary 'stars and stripes' livery during post-2008 season tests for the Italian factory, but with his former Repsol Honda contract having since expired Hayden is free to appear in 'red' from now on.

Hayden was pictured while being officially introduced as a Ducati Marlboro rider alongside team-mate Casey Stoner at Ducati's annual “Wrooom” press ski meeting at Madonna di Campiglio in Italy on Wednesday.

Hayden will ride in official Ducati Marlboro colours for the first time during testing at Sepang from February 5-7.

Ducati Marlboro will be the only team on the 2009 grid to feature two former MotoGP world champions.

I wonder if all these Nicky Haden haters really just dislike the guy because he is a nice good lookin' dude who gets paid handsomely to race AND gets the girls? Sounds like good old fashioned envy to me.:) You can talk all you want but at the end of the day, Ducati has chosen Nicky NOT any of you. Do you think they chose him because he sucks? Does that make sense? At the end of the day, he has made it to the elite level of his field and crowned champion. So what if he has only won the championship once? How many of you Nicky Haden haters out there have achieved what he has? Talk is cheap. Give him respect. He has gone alot faster and farther than all of you have on a bike.
