Sky Racing Team VR46 once again used a primetime TV slot on the Italian version of X Factor to unveil their 2018 racing colours.

The latest version of the familiar livery will be seen on the KTMs of Nicolo Bulega and rookie Dennis Foggia in the Moto3 class, plus the Kalexes of Francesco Bagnaia and new-signing Luca Marini in the Moto2 category.

The team, created in 2014 by a collaboration between Sky and Valentino Rossi to support young Italian talents, will continue to be backed by Oakley, Monster Energy, Dainese and AGV, plus new addition Dellorto.

Bagnaia looks very uncomfortable with Eric Morecombe's cuddling....

That's probably an Italian Louis Walsh. Shows the difference to how bikes are seen compared to the UK, definately not prime time here.

Absolutely. I was amazed when researching viewing figures recently that the 2015 Valencia race (motogp's biggest ever audience) was seen by over 9 million in Italy. If BT Sport could get one tenth of that they would be ecstatic.

Enrico Morecombi

Great looking bikes. They just need some decent riders now as their results are pretty awful when you consider their budget.

X Factor is on Sky Italy, so they are actually promoting themselves and the SkyVR46 team. The guy hugging Bagnaia is Sky's MotoGP commentator Guido Meda.

Is the X factor just as rubbish over there ?

Foggia is the real deal, he'll beat Bulega over the course of the season I reckon

Congrats to Rossi, for pouring some of his millions back into the sport. Truly passionate motorcycle sport ambassador.
