Which 250 rookie will perform best in 2010?

The 2009 MotoGP season may have just ended, but three days of testing at Valencia has already gone some way to whetting the appetite for 2010, not least the influx of rookies that were getting their first chance to sample machinery in the premier class.

In all, five riders are scheduled to make their full-time debut in 2010, with four of those coming from the quarter-litre class; Hiroshi Aoyama, Hector Barbera, Marco Simoncelli and Alvaro Bautista

All four were present in Spain, Aoyama riding for the newly-formed Interwetten Honda team, Barbera riding a Ducati prepared by MotoGP graduates Aspar, Simoncelli on the Gresini Honda and Bautista on the Rizla Suzuki.

By the end of the three days, it was Barbera who emerged as the surprise front runner, defying his and team's lack of experience on the Ducati to out pace his three rivals.

Of course, this is merely the first chapter in a long story that will be played out over the 2010 season, but with all four riders arriving on a similar playing field, who do you think is most likely to succeed next year?
