Marc Marquez, Sandro Cortese, Maverick Vinales, Pol Espargaro - the Moto2 and new Moto3 classes really do give us a glimpse into the future of the top tier of world championship motorcycling, with Marquez in particular already MotoGP-bound to replace Casey Stoner at Honda in 2013.

But before we get ahead of ourselves, there's just time for one last look back over the events of 2012 to see how Marquez, Cortese at al got to where they are in an eventful, action-packed season.
