Lorenzo earns thrilling 125cc Assen win.

Jorge Lorenzo emerged victorious from a heart-stopping 125cc Dutch TT, which saw four riders exchanging paintwork and the lead several times on the last lap during an intense battle for victory.
Roberto Locatelli eventually clinched second place to move back into second in the championship behind Andrea Dovizioso, who saw his championship lead reduced to sixteen points after finishing fourth.

Casey Stoner completed the podium t o move level on points with Hector Barberá, who was sixth today but holds on to third place in the standings thanks to his race win at Catalunya.

Jorge Lorenzo – 1st: "I tried to get away, but the other riders were very fast and I even went off the track in one corner, but the main thing is I won."

Roberto Locatelli – 2nd: "The final lap was very hard because I was very, very near to the other riders and there was some contact. But second is very good for my situation because now I have more points for the championship so I'm very happy."

Casey Stoner – 3rd: "I didn't really expect to even be in the top eight this weekend as we had no time to set-up the bike, just 20-minutes in the warm-up, so I was a little bit worried about the race. When I tried to make my moves everything worked at first, but I got cut up a bit in the last lap. I managed to get on the podium in the last corner, but I would have preferred a better position."
