2003 Comes out of semi-retirement and signs for the new Harris WCM MotoGP team, but quits before the year begins after failing to adapt to a four-stroke.

2001 - 2002 Occasional wild card rides.

2000 Seventh in the 250cc World Championship with Aprilia.

1999 Returned to the 250cc World Championship and finished sixth in the overall standings.

1998 Competed in the 500cc World Championship making debut in Japan. Ten points finishes for Modenas-Roberts (best finish 7th).

1997 Second in the 250cc World Championship.

1996 Second in the 250cc World Championship.

1994-97 Raced in the 250cc World Championship - debut in 1994 (AUS)

1992 Third in the 125cc World Championship.

1990-93 Raced in the 125cc World Championship.

1989 Raced in the 80cc World Championship.

1987 Made 80cc World Championship debut (WGER).
