Here is my problem with the comments that you have expressed. You clearly view Spies as a no talent hack, completely undeserving of a place on the grid, yet his situation and that of Rossi are fairly similar. Rossi has spent two years attempting to adapt his style to a bike that did not suit him, despite many revisions it simply did not work. Spies on the other hand, ran respectable in his first year on the factory bike. The following season leadership chose to force a riding style on him to try and mimic that of Lorenzo. Spies could not ride with Lorenzos settings. It is not a reflection of Spies ability only that his likes are different than those of Jorge. If HRC would have thrown Pedrosa's set up on their bike for Simoncelli it would have been the same struggle, because they had very different styles. I hope that Ducati will be open to letting Spies get back to his style, just as you hope a return to Yamaha does the same for Rossi.
