imho, the tyre rule that stipulates only 2 types of compounds available with no overnight specials is ok, it's just the single tyre supplier is not... if only MotoGP can back as multi-tyre competition whilst maintaining two-compound rule.... that will be a very good idea.
but as far as i can see, bridgestone now can make tyres equal to everyone, without any pressure to put any of their teams at the top. so now it's up to the rider to get the best out their tyres, and rossi's comment is a bit premature... it's just the first round and there are still long way to go. maybe the compounds did not suit him at qatar, but can suit him at other places. who knows...
