Ago's 1973 title came from the untimely demise of Kim Newcome, see "Love, loss and speed", due to the cost of a few hay bales being denied by a stiff necked Silverstone official - too taller price to pay.
Rossi has managed to take his low times on the chin and come back fighting, no one has done this since Doohan, and maybe had his injuries not been so bad, he would have returned. Love him or hate him you have to look at all Rossi has achieved in MotoGP so far and realise, as people (hopefully)did in Hailwood's day(s), that we are lucky to live in an age when a great graces our favourite stage. Stop focusing on his demise and enjoy the now, it won't happen for a long, long time...
