DDD, I agree that much of Honda's problems are a lack of a good development rider, or not listening to anyone but Pedrosa.
Nicky seems to be a good development rider,he developed the 2006 bike that tested a lot of ideas for the 2007 800cc, and the Ducati has become much more ridable since he joined.
I also agree with Chris, the quicker Honda's are the two guys (and their mechanics) who are used to Ohlins. The others should catch up soon, but the limited testing sure hurts.
