It doesn't matter if the formula changes to 1000cc and the electronics are reduced or not - it all depends on the perception and attitude of the team owners. The team principles pull guys from 250cc because they saw them week in and week out and rated that series better (rightly or wrongly). The last 2 guys to go to GPs from WSBK was Spies who had to have an all time great type season and JT who had to win the title twice. It's more difficult to go the WSBK to GP route. Even when MotoGP was 990cc for a number of years it wasn't an overflow of WSBK riders. Only champions (Colin, Bayliss, and Hodgson) and Haga and Xaus.
