Good opinion but I disagree, Rossi is constantly in demand and every rider tries to put themself in the best possible position to receive the best deal come contract time. To me it is a job and just how you try to bolster your resume to get hired for any other job, Rossi is simply doing this except his resume probably doesn't need anything else.
In my opinion, there are 3 possibilities or things to consider:
1. He is just testing his fitness on a superbike because he cannot test his YAM M1 and being a factory rider yamaha offered him or he ask for this opportunity. Really what else could he go ride that is equal to his M1 or close?
